Iara Negrete began by singing at family gatherings and small events but it quickly expanded with her first professional gig being with a Big Band and Orchestra singing traditional Italian music as well as international pop music in Spanish, Portuguese and English for 3 years, soon after Iara Negrete was playing gigs with her own act, the Iara Negrete we know today, accompanied by a group of talented musicians, they opened for renowned artists at the best venues in town, also playing after the main act to keep the party going until close. The exciting schedule of concerts and the positive feedback from the audience instigated the urge to study piano and music theory. Iara Negrete obtained her diploma and her musician profession ID from the Federal organization OMB (Order of Musicians of Brazil, in Sao Paulo) and proceed to work writing music sheets and transposing for an orchestra. From one of these concerts came the opportunity to work with the biggest Pop Orchestra in Latin America.
For many years, she sang in various parts of Brazil and also had the opportunity to go further, performing in other countries with the musical styles she loves to do, such as Jazz, Bossa Nova and Samba because it was so, for many years, Iara showed her true musical roots.
In the midst of that busy schedule an invitation was extended for her to be one of the three judges on the talent-show Pop Stars broadcasted on SBT and Disney Channel that ended up reaching top 2 national ratings throughout the entire seasons and the Girl-Band that was formed By the TV Show became a huge radio sensation selling millions of records.
Iara Negrete, had her first experience in musical theater, after her work as a judge of the reality show Popstars, the second largest TV station in the country. She was chosen by The Walt Disney Company Brazil, to interpret the Pocahontas Disney character, in the first and unforgettable Musical, "100 Years of Magic" Disney. The show featured more than 100 artists on stage, brought joy to the public, for 140 presentations. There were more than 1 million people, who had the opportunity to see up close, this wonderful musical.
Today, Iara can say, that made almost everything a singer wants to do. Professional success is not the same as Fame. 2 recorded solo albums and numerous appearances in musical projects of other artists, she has in mind a third solo album, but this time, putting all her experience, 30 years as a singer.
