Iara Negrete!
The singer, the Talent TV show Celebrity judge, the Vocal Coach. It all started with her father, a classical guitarist and his supportive influence in her interest and desire to learn music.
Born in Sao Paulo- Brazil, the world's third largest city, IARA NEGRETE was surrounded by a variety of music genres in this mega metropolis. Iara Negrete's biggest influences were Sarah Vaughan, Diane Schuure, Elis Regina, Leny Andrade, Tânia Maria, Take 6, Stevie Wonder, Tony Braxtonn, Janet Jacson, Des'ree... her passion toward vocalists became clear and it lead to her discovering the instrument she carries within herself. She began by singing at family gatherings and small events but it quickly expanded with her first professional gig being with a Big Band and Orchestra singing traditional Italian music as well as international pop music in Spanish, Portuguese and English for 3 years, soon after Iara Negrete was playing gigs with her own act, the Iara Negrete we know today, accompanied by a group of talented musicians, they opened for renowned artists at the best venues in town, also playing after the main act to keep the party going until close. The exciting schedule of concerts and the positive feedback from the audience instigated the urge to study piano and music theory. Iara Negrete obtained her diploma and her musician profession ID from the Federal organization OMB (Order of Musicians of Brazil, in Sao Paulo) and proceed to work writing music sheets and transposing for an orchestra. From one of these concerts came the opportunity to work with the biggest Pop Orchestra in Latin America. Samy Elia, a renowned executive in the music industry invited Iara Negrete to be a part of his project "Samy's Band", he was the founder and manager of the band, while also managing the careers of several celebrities such as Wanessa Camargo, Mamonas Assassinas, Charlie Brown Jr. With this Orchestra/Big Band Iara Negrete sang at high society events, a few examples are Toyota Brazil's headquarters' New Years celebration, Redetv's owner (Brazilian TV channel) parties and events, the wedding reception for Cohen Institute's owner (Major League athletes' physiotherapist). Soon after Iara Negrete went on to explore different markets, she auditioned for the vocalist spot in an international band and flew to Cancun Mexico to tour the Grand Oasis Cancun Resorts for 2 years. Upon returning to Sao Paulo Iara Negrete joined the octet TOM DA TERRA, they sang mostly at the illustrious events by The Secretary of Culture of the state of Sao Paulo, she additionally got involved in the advertising industry singing and creating vocal harmonies for TV & Radio commercials, as well as appearances on TV shows as a special guest. In the midst of that busy schedule an invitation was extended for her to be one of the three judges on the talent-show Pop Stars broadcasted on SBT and Disney Channel that ended up reaching top 2 national ratings throughout the entire seasons and the Girl-Band that was formed By the TV Show became a huge radio sensation selling millions of records. Iara Negrete was not only a judge on the panel determining the contestants that would go through to the next levels, but she was also in charge of coaching and training the contestants. This unique experience brought about a new passion, over and above her remarkable singing talent Iara Negrete discovered the joy in teaching people how to become the best singers they can be, which was the propelling energy that initiated her entire career as the celebrities' Vocal Coach, she coached and trained several renowned TV hosts, Singers and Vocalists such as Otaviano Costa Tv Host on the biggest national channel REDE GLOBO. With an astonishing presence in social media, hundreds of thousands of followers, Iara Negrete is constantly sharing her video lessons and recommendations and now, her newest endeavor, the highly downloaded Smartphone app AULA CANTO that was developed specifically for reaching a large number of people and to provide assistance to the most students possible. It has been an amazing success and according to Iara Negrete "an incredibly rewarding experience".
